    All about the Albania Eco Rural Tour.

For us, local traveling is the way to show our guests the real Albania, the stunning nature, miraculous tradition & ancient culture. Most of our tours are off-beaten truck and nature friendly.

    Day 1 Arrive- Tirana Airport- Tirana – Mullet Village

    Depending on the time of arrival in Tirana, we may do a short city tour before or after check-in at the hotel. Begin the Tour of Tirana City. It starts with a visit at Skanderbeg Square, followed by a stop at the Mosque of Et`hem Bey, built-in 1793. The Opera House (National Theatre of Opera and Ballet) looks over Scanderbeg Square. A walk in the main boulevard provides a close sight of the City Hall and a number of Governmental buildings Continue with the newly opened Atonic bunker, the Bunk’art2 museum in Tirana opened to the public describing it as a museum throwing light on political persecution during the Albanian communist era. The museum – called Bunk’Art 2 – is also intended as a memorial to the tens of thousands of people who were imprisoned and executed by the communist regime,” Continue to Mullet Village.     Day 2- Mullet- Kruja- Fushe- Kruja

    Early wake up in the morning and see the daily morning farm work with the Farm people. Breakfast, we will drive to Tirana. A few km from Tirana we will stop to visit a Bio farm and a bio winery (Uka Farm) where we will have lunch on the farm also we will try some different bio wines. Continue to Kruja–one of the biggest cities in Northern Albania is the “City of history” and the best known as the hometown of Albanian’s National Hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg. Visit the Castle, Skanderbeg Museum and Ethnographic Museum. After the visit to the castle, is free for you to explore Kruja’s old bazaar with authentic and antique shops. Continue to Fushe Kruja where you will stay overnight in the family house. Here you will cook and sleep overnight in the family house.

    Day 3: Fushe Kruja- Lezha- Fishta

    This morning after preparing and eating breakfast with the Albanian Family drive to Lezha where will visit the Memorial of Skanderbeg – visits of the Castle, After we will drive to the Village of Fishta where we will visit the Kallmet winery, where we can try some different wine from the unique Kallmet grapes, After we will go and visit the most famous farm in that regions ‘’Mrizi I Zanave’’ farm & Restaurant where we will spend. Here we will have walking around the village area meet with local people etc. Overnight in Mrrizi Zanave- Guest House.

    Day 4- Fishta- Koman-Fierza- Valbona

    After breakfast Departure from Fishta village to Koman Dam built in the 1980s which encases the waters of Drin and creates one of the biggest artificial lakes of the country. to reach the ferry at Koman we travel to Fierza by ferry. Passing the mountains through the canyon, created by the river Drin, the route reveals the wild beauty of the Albanian Alps. We will have lots of opportunities to take pictures of unique views of the lake. Continue to Valbona Valley where we will walk around meet with local people, visit the family house where you can try Turkish coffee with Raki. Overnight in Family house.

    Day 5: Walk around National Park & Valbona River

    After breakfast, we begin our trip to one of the most wonderful natural beauties of Albania: the National Park of “Lugina e Valbones” (The valley of Valbona). It has a surface of about 8.000 hectares and is situated 25-30 km northwest of the city of Bajram Curri. It expands among high mountains and shows off a fantastic complexion of colors in every season, thus giving the image of a valley full of labyrinths and surprises. Its scientific, tourist, and health recovering values are combined with a bio-diversity of national and international importance. Its rocky and attractive peaks, the sides covered with wood, the flow of brooks, and river Valbona, viewed from above, create the image of a giant and marvelous crater as a small panorama of natural beauty. The nature of this park is full of varieties suitable for tourism, fishing, relaxation, amusing and mountain climbing as well as winter sports. Overnight in Family house

    Day 6: The Pass of Valbona (Valbona- Thethi)

    Today we will hike the classic pass of the Albanian Alps that for centuries linked the two most known valleys of the area, Valbona  (Valbnona pass; 1966m a.s.l) and Thethi. We will use mules to carry the luggage to the next house. Highlanders from late spring use the path commonly, until the first snow of winter. Several springs of water will make the stops pleasant and refreshing, while admiring the steep and jagged surrounding peaks of Jezerca, Radohima, etc. From there the group will start the descent towards the village of Thethi (800m a.s.l), where we will stay overnight after up to 8 hrs of walking. Thethi is the best-preserved alpine village in Albania. It has typical houses still roofed with wooden tiles and its location is spectacular. Overnight in Family guest house in Thethi

    Day 7: Thethi’s attractions

    Today we will have a nice day going around in the surroundings of Thethi, one of the most known charming villages of northern Albania, because of its stunning nature and traditional wooden-tiled houses. We will start walking downhill from the house, and visit the attractions nearby the village, like the Church, the Kulla e Ngujimit (a tower house used in the past by men as a shelter against ongoing vendetta), the Thethi Waterfall, Grunasi Canyon, We will overnight at the same house as the night before.     Day 8: – Thethi – Boga- Razma

    After breakfast Thethi drive from Natural Park of Thethi to Boga and then to Razma. Situated on a blackberry hill at the feet of Veleçik Mountain, Razma stands amid lush forests of pine and birch trees. Meadows and amazing alpine pastures abound, drenching any visitor with a keen eye in the beauty of the Balkans. Here you will enjoy something unique: walk, breath, sleep and eat amidst the legends dating from Homer and through modern tales of our majestic mystery and intrigue. This tour gives you the rare chance to enjoy the heart of the Albanian Alps. Overnight in Guesthouse in Razma

    Day 9: Razma- Shkodra- Tirana Airport

    After breakfast, we will drive to Shkodra. We will have a quick stop for a city tour before the transfer to Airport

    Hotels in Albania are not to the same standard as those in the UK, EU or USA as tourism has not long been a major industry here.     Hotel Vila Alba Tirana

    Situated in the heart of the Old Town, Vila Alba is a boutique-style hotel. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. A private parking area is reserved for all guests and is free of charge. Hotel Vila Alba All rooms at Vila Alba feature high ceilings and a combination of classical and modern design.     Hotel Panorama Kruja

    Situated in the centre of Krujë, Hotel Panorama Kruje is set just 400 m from the historic fortress Kalaja e Krujes. The hotel features an on-site restaurant serving traditional Albanian specialties and offers free Wi-Fi and free garage parking. All rooms are air-conditioned and fitted with a flat-screen TV, a desk, a wardrobe and a private bathroom with a shower. Some rooms feature a balcony.

    Hotel Mangalemi – Berat

    A 3+ -star hotel built on the ruins of Turkish mansions in the historic centre of Mangalem Quarter, close to the town centre. Restaurant, bar, WiFi (free) and 15 air-conditioned rooms with private facilities, hairdryer, mini-bar and satellite TV.

    Hotel Brilant – Saranda

    This 4-star hotel is close to the town’s main boulevard. Bar, WiFi (free) and 33 air-conditioned rooms with private facilities, hairdryer, mini-bar and satellite TV.

    Hotel Argjiro – Gjirokastra

    A modern 4-star hotel in traditional style. It is close to the castle and Ethnographic Museum. Restaurants, bar, WiFi (free) and 30 air-conditioned rooms with private facilities, hairdryer and satellite TV.

    Bujtina Leon Korca

    Set in a building with traditional features of the local architecture, Guest House Bujtina Leon is located in the centre of Korca. Featuring free Wi-Fi and free bike rental, it offers rooms and suites with an LCD cable TV. The property is situated behind the Orthodox Cathedral, in a street paved in cobble stone and surrounded by old houses. The reception area has a fireplace in front of which guests can enjoy wine, tea or homemade food. A common wooden terrace is also a good spot to relax. Likewise, a porch and a garden with flowers and oil lamps contribute to the specific ambiance of the guest house.
