Enjoy amazing views and sunsets over the seas, relaxing strolls through some of the most beautiful towns in Albania, stunning coastal locations, and exciting culinary adventures. There will be late-night dinners and long leisurely lunches with some of the most delicious foods you have ever tasted, and of course Albanian Raki. You will stay in comfortable lodging with the extravagance focused on the environment, gardens, food, and hospitality.
Day 1: Tirana Airport- Kruja
Meet with our Representative at Tirana Airport- Drive to Kruja “City of history” and the best known as the hometown of Albanian’s National Hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg. Arrival, welcome dinner in Traditional Restaurant, if the group will be over 10 pax, we will organize a dinner with a traditional folk music show. Overnight at Hotel Panorama Kruja
Day 2: Kruja- Lezha- Fishta
After breakfast starts the visits to Kruja–one of the biggest cities in Northern Albania is the Visit to the Castle, Skanderbeg Museum and Ethnographic Museum. After the visit to the castle, is free for you to explore Kruja’s old bazaar with authentic and antique shops. Continue to Fushe Kruja where you will visit the family house and try our national spirit Rakia. Drive to Lezha where will visit the Memorial of Skanderbeg – visits of the Castle, After we will drive to the Village of Fishta where we will visit the Kallmet winery, where we can try some different wine from the unique Kallmet grapes, After we will go and visit the most famous farm in that regions ‘’Mrizi I Zanave’’ farm & Restaurant where we will spend. Here we will have walking around the village area meet with local people etc. Overnight in Mrrizi Zanave- Guest House.
Day 3: Fishta– Tirana – Mullet Vilage
After breakfast drive to Tirana. Begin the Tour of Tirana City. It starts with a visit at Skanderbeg Square, followed by a stop at the Mosque of Et`hem Bey, built-in 1793. The Opera House (National Theatre of Opera and Ballet) looks over Scanderbeg Square. A walk in the main boulevard provides a close sight of the City Hall and a number of Governmental buildings In the evening, we’ll have dinner at a traditional restaurant and then explore the nightlife of Tirana, walking in the ex-block area where the villas of the communists’ leaders are still standing next to trendy boutiques, expensive jewelers shops, and active local pubs. Overnight in Hotel Nano Resort. Here we will walk around the Bio-garden pick up the vegetables and cook our Dinner meal with the assistance of the best local chef
Day 4- Mullet- Elbasan- Pogradec – Excursion, market visit, food tasting
Early wake up in the morning and see the daily morning farm work with the Farm people. Breakfast, we will drive to Pogradec on the way you will stop at the local market when you can see local food products, fresh fruits, and vegetables. You will have lunch at a restaurant located in Elbasan where you can try traditional Albanian food. Afternoon for 2-hour drives to arrive in the beautiful city of Pogradec, where UNESCO Site Lake Ohrid lies on. You will eat dinner at the hotel located near the lake and try some of the local fish and wine. Overnight at Hotel Millenium
Day 5 Pogradec-Korca- Voskopoja- Food lecture, food tasting, excursion, farm visit, cooking experience
Albanian traditional breakfast will be served in Millenium Hotel near the lake with the wonderful view and the fresh eggs, milk, honey and a lot of fresh and bio fruits. A morning lecture / PowerPoint presentation will discuss the region’s growing seasons, the kinds of food grown in Pogradec. Then you will board a van for a 1-hour drive to arrive in the city of Korca. For lunch stop at a local restaurant featuring fresh local foods. It is even better when everything is accompanied by homemade wine. Start sightseeing tour of Korca and Continue to Voskopoja. Here we will be staying at Vila Falo Hotel. Where we will cook our dinner meal accompanied by the best local chef.
Day 6- Voskopoja- Germenj- Leskovik- Permet
Food lecture, food tasting, excursion, farm visit, cooking experience
After breakfast drive to Germany, drive through the countryside and landscape, before arriving to your destination at the fish farm when you will taste how the locals like to eat their fish. Today you can try to cook the fresh fish that the farmer grows with a lot of local vegetables and spices. It is even better when everything is accompanied by homemade wine. Continue to Permet. Dinner will be at Traditional Restaurant Antigonea in Permet. Overnight at Hotel Alvero
Day 7: Permet- Gjirokastra Excursion, tea & food testing tasting
After breakfast, we will start the day by visiting one of the most traditional Families in Permet, where we will visit the family house and try Albanian hospitality and try the famous Permeti Gliko and Raki. Then drive to Gjirokastra on the way stop for lunch in a local restaurant called the springs. Head to Gjirokaster, 2nd UNESCO Site. You will visit the castle and the house of the dictator Enver Hoxha. Dinner will be at the Gjirokastra restaurant where we will cook the local receipt with a local chef. Also, we will taste the traditional Albanian mountain tea, mountain tea, and the local music will take place after dinner at the restaurant.
Day 8: Gjirokastra- Blue Eye- Saranda Excursions
After breakfast depart to Saranda, on the way stop at the blue Eye and take a walking tour at this charming water spring. You will take a picnic lunch and enjoy the mountain air, the blue wonderful water, and eat. After lunch, you will drive to visit Butrint National Park. Butrint, visit the well-preserved ruins of the ancient city of Butrint and its museum hosted in the Venetian castle, Butrint: is a National park that includes a very well preserved archaeological area, an uncontaminated vegetation area of Mediterranean, and has also a lake that is connected to the Ionian Sea by a natural channel. The wetlands around the lake are shelters for different animals and aquatic species in danger of extinction. The excavations and studies have proved that during the VII and the VI centuries BC. Butrint was a protourban centre. By the V century, BC Butrint has got the full form of an ancient city. Day 9: Saranda- Himara Food tasting, free time, cooking experience
After an early morning, you will travel to one of the most beautiful Albanian beaches, Himara beach. Eat lunch in one quaint home-style restaurant in which you can try the fresh fish and seafood, and the extra virgin olive oil. After lunch, you will have free time to wander the streets to look in the shops, rest in a coffee shop, and try some delicious ice cream in the small center of Himara. You can try the seafood that the fisherman sells at the port of Himara and then cook everything you want for dinner with the help of the local cook. The dinner will be back at the hotel near the beach with a wonderful view of the sea.
Day 10 : Himara- Berat Baking demonstration, excursion, food tasting
Today you will have the opportunity to see how an albania typical pancake is made. With fresh honey and milk from the local farmer. After breakfast, you will visit the national park of Llogara, make a walking tour, and see the wonderful view from the mountain to the sea. For lunch, you will try the fresh lamb meat, some Albanian typical vegetable food, and one of the best pies in Albania. After lunch, drive to Berat, 4th Unesco site also named city of thousand windows. You will visit the castle of Berat and eat dinner in the hotel where you can try the typical and delicious food of Berat. The hotel shows the local architecture of Berat which saved in years his characteristics with big windows and the wood ceiling.
Day 11: Departure
After breakfast, all guests will be driven to Tirana airport for to their connecting flights.
